Spend a lot of your free time browsing blogs, Instagram, or YouTube? Ever wondered what it’s like to be on the other side of those platforms? The world of online content creation has grown exponentially, but it’s definitely not too late to jump in.
Pick a niche
What do you want to focus on? Fashion, food, gaming? Choose a specific niche so that people know what to expect when they come across your channels. This doesn’t necessarily mean you have to focus solely on one area — it just gives you a place to start.
Ensure your usernames, profile photos, and color schemes are consistent across all of your social media and creative channels. This will help people to recognize you when they come across your channels.
Get the necessary equipment
You will need to invest in the appropriate equipment, services, and materials you’ll need to be successful (i.e. camera for your YouTube channel, hosting services for your blog, etc). Do some research to find out what other content creators in your particular space are using and learn from them before purchasing.

walking in a winter wonderland☃️ I love seeing how different my favorite spots can look in the winter, it's like I'm seeing it for the first time. I can definitely say that this @WoodsCanada parka & hiking poles were my best friends on this snowy, icy adventure to the Natural Bridge in Yoho. hope everyone stays safe and keeps warm out there! #WoodsExplorer #ad
Practice photography and editing
Creating high quality content takes a lot of work, and honing skills like photography and video editing will be extremely beneficial to you. Practice really does make perfect.
Be consistent by setting a schedule
One of the most important things about being an active member of the blogging, Instagramming, or YouTubing community is consistency. Posting on a regular schedule can help to maintain your viewer base, as people will know when to expect new content from you.
