Resources to Support Black Lives Matter

If you want to help but don't know where to start, start somewhere:

  1. Self-education on anti-racism first. Learn about the many different walks of life and lived experiences. This won't be easy and it's a journey. Sit with the discomfort that comes with that. Here’s a crowdsourced collection you can check out.
  2. Be kind and be present: to those in your life who need a listening ear. Just listening to their lived experience and giving it space is so powerful. You don't need to have all the answers. Check in on them and how they are managing at this time. Try to not burden them with educating you first.
  3. Create space: not everyone has the capacity to be in this dialogue right now. It can be so emotionally exhausting. Remember to respect that.
  4. Elevate the work of underrepresented voices: if you genuinely care to do so, elevate their work (share their voices on social media, write to your respective authorities, etc.).
